Return To The Forbidden Planet - Tickets On Sale NOW!

June 13, 2018

Loosely based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest, and the 1956 sci-fi classic film Forbidden Planet, the story starts with a spaceship, helmed by Captain Tempest, making an emergency landing on the uncharted planet D’Illyria. The only residents there are the mad scientist Doctor Prospero, his daughter Miranda, and their robot Ariel. They were banished into hyperspace when Miranda was just a baby, and she has known no other world than this.

Featuring rock ‘n’ roll hits of the 50s and 60s (Great Balls of Fire, The Monster Mash, Good Vibrations, to name just a few) and dialogue in iambic pentameter, Return to the Forbidden Planetis Shakespeare’s unwritten rock ‘n’ roll masterpiece. Throw in a roller-skating robot, unrequited love, and a scary space monster, and you’ve got one heck of a show!

Robin Hood

December 04, 2015

Follow the legendary Robin Hood, as he battles the evil Sheriff of Nottingham, to free the land from tyranny. Robin is aided by his merry men (and women!): Friar Tuck, Little Joan, Alana Dale, Much et al. The evil Sheriff is hindered by his hilariously idiotic henchmen, Nickit and Scarper, and his malcontent Soothsayer, who fails miserably in her attempts to foretell the future in her crystal ball!

Both Robin and the Sheriff are distracted by the beauty of Maid Marian, whose nanny, Nora Tittle Tattle, adds another level of nonsense to this highly entertaining pantomime.

Robin’s force for good will surely win out in the end…?...oh yes it will…!

With dark family secrets, life-changing acting and high-spirited musical numbers this is far more than Victoria Wood’s original, genius, TV sketches… Will the shop survive? Will Mr Clifford ever recover from his amnesia and remember who he’s engaged to? And, most worrying of all, will Mrs Overall be able to tap dance whilst holding a tray of macaroons?!?
